Origami how to make a square

How to make a square from a rectangular sheet of paper: Lay out a rectangular sheet of paper vertically as shown.


Fold one corner of the paper until it meets the opposite edge, forming a triangle. Make sure they are even.


  Cut the extra paper on the bottom.

1 Start with a square sheet of paper.

2 Fold the paper along one diagonal, 

then unfold it. 
 

3 Now fold the lower edges of the square into the centerline as shown.

4 Flip the paper over and fold it along the black lines

6 Repeat on the other side.

7 Fold the point of the piece upwards.
 

8 Then fold the head of the origami swan downwards.
 

 

9 Next, fold the swan in half as shown.

10 Pull the neck of the swan away from the body.

11 Now it’s time to establish the head and beak. Make two folds one mountain, and one valley. Then you are going to push them in to make it look like the diagram. This is a difficult fold, but with practice you can conquer it. Or you can leave the model at step 10 for a simpler form.

12 Now your origami animal is done.
